WE DID IT.  Cakes by Retta won the BATTLE OF THE BAKERS: BATTLE AGAINST ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE CAKE WAR on July 28 at The Heritage Tomball. Thank you to my sister Brenda for driving 5 hours to assist with this.  Praise to God for everyone who competed to try to rid the world of this horrid disease.  Thank you to my family for their wonderful support and to my true friends for their donations and support.

My name is Retta Pryor and my husband and I have raised our family in the Mt. Belvieu area.  I have lived in Mt. Belvieu all my life and originally was a legal assistant, then when I turned 30 I went to Clown School (Krayon the Clown) (which for all you lawyers out there is not a far stretch), took time off to raise two wonderful daughters and now that one is working and one is in college, I'm doing what I love.  Decorating cakes.  It started as a hobby with a gift from my daughters for a cake class and then just grew.  I can promise you a passion for traditionally and more modern prepared confections to those of you who appreciate fine baking. This commitment to quality is evident in every one of our delicious, hand-made creations.
